After arriving by ferry from Hong Kong, start your Macau day trip at the Historic Centre of Macau. You’ll visit three of the most iconic sites in Macau: Ruins of St. Paul’s, Senado Square and A-Ma Temple. Each represents classic styles from the East and West, and reflects the exchange and fusion of Chinese and Western cultures over 400 years. Then transfer to Taipa Houses, once the homes of Portuguese officials, transformed into museums showcasing Macau’s multicultural lifestyle. Admire the mint-green Portuguese architecture and learn about Macau’s colonial-era society.
Known as “Las Vegas of the East,” Macau’s casino is a hot destination. Your next stop is the Venetian – a replica of Venice, the Water City, where you can enjoy lunch, shop at boutiques, and visit the casino in three hours of free time. Next, head to Coloane – the most tranquil area of Macau. Visit St. Francis Xavier Church, a Baroque-style building. Enjoy an egg tart at the famous Lord Stow’s Bakery, paired with a rich hand-brewed coffee, and soak in the relaxed pace of local life. Conclude your trip at Taipa Ferry Terminal for the returning ferry to Hong Kong.
