So today is free for you to enjoy the beautiful scenery at your own pace. You could just stroll around Kowloon area, spend a half day at some foodie streets and shopping malls; or take a taxi or subway to Hong Kong Island to enjoy a relaxing walking along the Garden Road where culturally significant buildings abound.

Continue your exploration in the morning and then go to the airport on your own for the flight to Shanghai. On arrival, your local guide in Shanghai will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.

Start today’s tour with a relaxing stroll on the Bund to enjoy the best view of both the new and old high-rise buildings of the city along Huangpu River. Afterward, proceed to Shanghai Museum and the ancient private Yu Garden to get a general idea of the city’s past, followed by Shanghai Old Street where you can appreciate a dynamic and complicated urban landscape. After that, visit the Jade Buddha Temple and a silk workshop.

The morning is yours to explore at your own pace. You might choose to take a stroll in People’s Park, visit MOCA Shanghai or the Shanghai Grand Theatre, or simply relax with coffee in the former French Concession.

In the afternoon, your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. When you arrive in Chengdu, your local tour guide will meet you and then accompany you to your hotel.

Enjoy a special morning with endearing pandas at the Giant Panda Breeding Research Base. The pandas are usually more active from 8:00 am to 10:00 am, so we suggest getting going around 8:00 am. At the panda base, you will have the chance to see the pandas as they enjoy their breakfast, visit the baby panda’s room and the Panda Museum, and watch a short movie about pandas.

In the afternoon, take a city tour to Wenshu Temple and Jinli Old Street. The Wenshu Temple is the largest and oldest Buddhist temple in Chengdu. Inside, you’ll see the white jade Buddha and the Thousand Buddha Pagoda, with incense and local worshippers surrounding. In the back courtyard, a traditional teahouse offers a great place to relax. You can enjoy a cup of Chinese tea and experience Chengdu’s laid-back lifestyle.

This morning, take the high-speed train (about 3 – 4 hours) to Xi’an. On arrival, be picked up and transferred to the hotel. After a short break at the hotel, start the city tour to the Drum Tower, Muslim Street, and Gao’s Courtyard, where you’ll experience traditional folk culture and marvel at the artistry of the intricate shadow puppets as the stories come alive on the screen.

The highlight today is the amazing Terracotta Warriors. You can marvel at the grand array with thousands of life-size clay soldiers, horses, and chariots, no two of which are exactly the same. Afterwards, drive about one hour back to the city, and have a short stop at a jade store before visiting the Ancient City Wall.

Head to Beijing on a 5 to 6 hours’ high-speed train. Upon arrival, the local tour guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. Wangfujing Street lined with various shops and eateries, or the restful Beihai Park will be good places to go.

Today, you will visit Tiananmen Square first, and then explore the Forbidden City with its exquisite architecture and long history. On leaving, head to Jingshan Park for a panoramic view of the magnificent royal palace complex. Finally, end the day by walking through authentic hutongs to learn about the daily life of old Beijingers.

This morning, head to Temple of Heaven, where you’ll see the iconic blue-roofed Hall of Prayer, and test the ancient Echo Wall that carries whispers across a courtyard.

Afterward, drive about 2 hours to Mutianyu Great Wall. The Mutianyu section is highly recommended for its lesser crowds and gentle steps. With a comfortable round-trip cable car ride, you’ll enjoy moderate hiking and the majestic scenery on the Wall.
