After breakfast, visit the Temple of Heaven, an epitome of imperial Chinese architecture – symmetrical, majestic, and rich in cultural meaning. Once a site for ceremonial prayers, it is now a bustling place where locals practice Tai Chi and dancing, offering a great opportunity to experience daily life in Beijing.

Then, drive 70km to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, a less crowded yet well-preserved segment built during the Ming Dynasty. Explore the ancient culture of the wall and enjoy the stunning natural scenery, whether by cable car or on foot. If you’re up for it, climb its towers for spectacular views and perfect photo opportunities of the wall snaking across the mountains.
