Today, set out from Guilin for a two-hour drive to Bajiaozhai National Geopark, named for its eight sharp peaks shaped by erosion and weathering. Rare in the world, Bajiaozhai showcases four Danxia landforms: peak forests, isolated peaks, peak clusters, and intricate micro-landscapes. Don’t miss Longtou Xiang, the most dramatic peak – an arched ridge a hundred meters long and barely 10 cm wide at its narrowest, resembling a dragon soaring into the sky.
